Christmas and New Years

So I know it's been a long time, but I have been busy and not wanting to post. HAHA! But someone told me I should do it cause it's been so long.

Christmas-

It was fantastic. We did our usual family traditions... Lights at Thanksgiving Point, Lights in Spanish Fork. I really really enjoy this time with my family. We ride around in the back of the truck freezing and singing and looking at lights. It was especially special this Christmas b/c my Smith Grandparents were down. We talked them into coming down for Christmas.

It seems more and more each year that Christmas is becoming more commercialized and we forget the true meaning of it. It's not the gifts, treats (although I like the treats), or any other reason but it's a celebration of the birth of our Savior. His coming into the world and his willingness to become our Savior. I am deeply grateful for is sacrifice and love he has for each one of us!

Well that pretty much does it for Christmas... I love this time of year!

New Years-

This year for New years I pretty much hung out with friends at a 7 Stake Party. Well, I should've known it was going to be not as fun as anticipated. It was fun, but most everyone stuck to their own wards. Our ward hosted it so we were well represented! I think that was the best part. Sarah (Rasmussen) and I then went back to my house and had a little silly string war and gave my family hugs and kisses.

Well one more year down, more expectations not me and more dreams not reached. Some dreams ending abruptly and some...well...just are out of this world.

Music and Good Friends

So, many people know how much I just love music; how much music is a part of my life. I can't/don't sing, don't play an instrument or anything like that, but I love listening to music. I am a total mood listener too, if I'm angry I usually turn to hip hop/rap, sad I go slow music (country/R&B).. You get the picture. I'm a country lover and will always be, but through the years I have expanded my music love to enclude everything.
So here is why I'm blogging about music-because it can be a life line when you need it the most. I have made some good and bad decisions in my life, but I think recently I'm moving toward the best decision ever-but with this decision I'm feeling the adversary working against me. So, I had a great friend point me to this song:

Faith-Jordin Sparks

Hey there sad eyes
What's on your mind
Don't look so down
Give it some time

You don't have to be
So hard on yourself
I know the world can be a brutal place
Please don't let it steal your smile away

Cause when the sky is darkest
You can see the stars
And when you fall the hardest
You'll find how strong you are
Close your eyes
Rest a while
It's been a long, long day
So come on baby, baby
Have a little faith

Let those tears fall
You gave it your all
That's all you can do
I'll be here for you

There goes your pride
Crushed on the ground
Sometimes it takes a wall to tumble down
For you to see who's gonna stick around

Cause when the sky is darkest
You can see the stars
When you fall the hardest
You find how strong you are
Close your eyes
Rest a while
It's been a long, long day
So come on baby, baby
Have a little faith

Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better, yeah
And it takes so much to be brave
Sometimes you're afraid it'll hurt forever
But when all the lights beging to fade

And the sky is darkest
You can see the starts
When you fall the hardest
You find how strong you are
Close your eyes
And rest a while
It's been a long, long day
So come on baby, baby
Have a little faith

And have a little faith
Have a little faith

Ooooooh
So come on baby, baby
Have a little faith

I am greatful for great friends that I am surrounded by!

Bathrooms

So, last weekend we had a girls weekend and went to Denver to see Wicked. Oh my gosh, I loved it so much!!! Words can't explain how fantastic it was. I can only say that now i'm totally on the witches side :)
Well, on our way home we had a few bathroom stops.. you know girls and their potties. Well, not quite sure where we were but I know we were in Utah. It might have been in Price, but we had stopped at a gas station. We all got out and went to the bathroom. All the stalls were taken so I waited for a free one. Well the "BIG" stall opened up and a lady with a green shirt I guess you could call them capris and just SOCKS walked out. I thought just for a second that I didn't hear a flush but put that past my mind and walked toward the stall.
The smells in bathrooms aren't that nice anyway but the closer I walked to this stall the worse it got. I just figued hey everyone poops. Well... this lady pooped BUT SHE DIDN'T FLUSH!! OH GAG!!! I closed the door and couldn't walk to the toilet to flush it. I was holding back the gag... I didn't want to be rude because maybe it wouldn't flush on her so I walked into a stall that my mom just walked out of. I was SO MAD!! I couldn't stand it. I was furious. I started yelling "HOW CAN YOU DO THAT... THAT IS SO DISGUSTING... WHO THE FREAK WALKS INTO A BATHROOM WITH SOCKS ON... WHAT? YOU CAN'T TELL SOMEONE THAT IT DIDN'T FLUSH AND THAT MAYBE THEY SHOULDN'T GO IN THERE? That was a few of the things that came out of my mouth, in no particular order.
I was still fumming when I got in to the car. Really it's just polite to flush and it's ultra polite to tell someone when you didn't flush-you pooped-and maybe they shouldn't go in there. Well after a little while and a few laughs from the girls I eventually relaxed. But I have now come up with the top 5 bathroom no no's
5- Never wear socks into a public bathroom... you don't know what has been on the floor (SHOES ARE A MUST). NO shirt NO SHOES no bathroom use
4- Wash your hands... need I say more that "POOP GERMS"
3-Shut and lock the stall- it isn't only embarrasing for you to be walked in on but also the walker in on too
2- If you need to poop-FLUSH THE TOILET
1- If it doesn't flush-TELL SOMEONE

More on Denver in a few days
