Music and Good Friends

So, many people know how much I just love music; how much music is a part of my life. I can't/don't sing, don't play an instrument or anything like that, but I love listening to music. I am a total mood listener too, if I'm angry I usually turn to hip hop/rap, sad I go slow music (country/R&B).. You get the picture. I'm a country lover and will always be, but through the years I have expanded my music love to enclude everything.
So here is why I'm blogging about music-because it can be a life line when you need it the most. I have made some good and bad decisions in my life, but I think recently I'm moving toward the best decision ever-but with this decision I'm feeling the adversary working against me. So, I had a great friend point me to this song:

Faith-Jordin Sparks

Hey there sad eyes
What's on your mind
Don't look so down
Give it some time

You don't have to be
So hard on yourself
I know the world can be a brutal place
Please don't let it steal your smile away

Cause when the sky is darkest
You can see the stars
And when you fall the hardest
You'll find how strong you are
Close your eyes
Rest a while
It's been a long, long day
So come on baby, baby
Have a little faith

Let those tears fall
You gave it your all
That's all you can do
I'll be here for you

There goes your pride
Crushed on the ground
Sometimes it takes a wall to tumble down
For you to see who's gonna stick around

Cause when the sky is darkest
You can see the stars
When you fall the hardest
You find how strong you are
Close your eyes
Rest a while
It's been a long, long day
So come on baby, baby
Have a little faith

Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better, yeah
And it takes so much to be brave
Sometimes you're afraid it'll hurt forever
But when all the lights beging to fade

And the sky is darkest
You can see the starts
When you fall the hardest
You find how strong you are
Close your eyes
And rest a while
It's been a long, long day
So come on baby, baby
Have a little faith

And have a little faith
Have a little faith

Ooooooh
So come on baby, baby
Have a little faith

I am greatful for great friends that I am surrounded by!

Bathrooms

So, last weekend we had a girls weekend and went to Denver to see Wicked. Oh my gosh, I loved it so much!!! Words can't explain how fantastic it was. I can only say that now i'm totally on the witches side :)
Well, on our way home we had a few bathroom stops.. you know girls and their potties. Well, not quite sure where we were but I know we were in Utah. It might have been in Price, but we had stopped at a gas station. We all got out and went to the bathroom. All the stalls were taken so I waited for a free one. Well the "BIG" stall opened up and a lady with a green shirt I guess you could call them capris and just SOCKS walked out. I thought just for a second that I didn't hear a flush but put that past my mind and walked toward the stall.
The smells in bathrooms aren't that nice anyway but the closer I walked to this stall the worse it got. I just figued hey everyone poops. Well... this lady pooped BUT SHE DIDN'T FLUSH!! OH GAG!!! I closed the door and couldn't walk to the toilet to flush it. I was holding back the gag... I didn't want to be rude because maybe it wouldn't flush on her so I walked into a stall that my mom just walked out of. I was SO MAD!! I couldn't stand it. I was furious. I started yelling "HOW CAN YOU DO THAT... THAT IS SO DISGUSTING... WHO THE FREAK WALKS INTO A BATHROOM WITH SOCKS ON... WHAT? YOU CAN'T TELL SOMEONE THAT IT DIDN'T FLUSH AND THAT MAYBE THEY SHOULDN'T GO IN THERE? That was a few of the things that came out of my mouth, in no particular order.
I was still fumming when I got in to the car. Really it's just polite to flush and it's ultra polite to tell someone when you didn't flush-you pooped-and maybe they shouldn't go in there. Well after a little while and a few laughs from the girls I eventually relaxed. But I have now come up with the top 5 bathroom no no's
5- Never wear socks into a public bathroom... you don't know what has been on the floor (SHOES ARE A MUST). NO shirt NO SHOES no bathroom use
4- Wash your hands... need I say more that "POOP GERMS"
3-Shut and lock the stall- it isn't only embarrasing for you to be walked in on but also the walker in on too
2- If you need to poop-FLUSH THE TOILET
1- If it doesn't flush-TELL SOMEONE

More on Denver in a few days

My Life in a Nutshell

So, in lite of the fact that I haven't done this is a while... I thought that since I was up....
Well, I can't say that much has happened in the month or so since I have posted. I pretty much do the same things week in and week out. Work. So lets turn our attention to that all so great subject that I love to just talk about.

So, I started Costco in August of 2006. Started as a tire installer in Lehi. Moved to the Orem location as a tire supervisor in April of 2007 (movin up fast). Well over the summer of 07 I was hired to take over the softball program at Orem. Sweet but that would mean I would need to change positions. My awesome whse manager was kind enough to make supervisor moves. So I went to work morning merch (4am) in Jan of 2008. I did till August of 2009- loved getting off early!!! 4am does stink though. Anyway so now I'm on night merch-gotta say working till 10 pm sucks...but there is only one more thing about my job that I hate (other than the time), everything else I love. MEMBERS!!! Here is my oh so little rant about members...

MEMBERS=SLOBS

If treat Costco like you treat your house-gross. You pick up the "free" sample (which aren't really free cause WDS still pays for them) and if you accidentally drop the food/spork/paper cup on the ground you just look at it and walk away. Of if you are going to pick up product to purchase and you happen to have the sample garbage in your hand you'll just lay it next to or on top of product that someone else will purchase. OR you just find boxes that employees are trying to move out of the way so you have an easier time shopping; and you just stick your garbage into those boxes. THAT IS DISGUSTING. There are literally 50+ garbages around-find one.

PUTTING PRODUCT BACK WHERE IT GOES IF YOU DON'T WANT IT

I know I have been guility of this before (not gonna lie), but if you put something in your cart you don't want-take the (however many steps) back to where you got it. You wonder why prices can jump? Here is one reason -DAMAGE/DESTROY. It means if you grab "Mixed Berries" (from the freezer) and you don't want them and you're walking by the milk cooler so you figure it would be ok to just set them in there because maybe it's still cool. NO THIS IS A LIE. They will thaw and than we have to destroy that. Which means that goes out of costco money. So-if you don't want something (especially if it is a cold/frozen product) put it back. Or grab an employee to do so.
and my last rant of the morning

JUST BECAUSE YOU BUY A MEMBERSHIP-IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO BE A JERK!!
While working in the tire center a few weeks ago, I had to deal with this. I walked up from the shop to help a member with a batters. We were falling behind on the work so it was kinda stressful. I'm not sure how long he had been waiting, but I know it wasn't long. When I asked him how I could help him (in my oh so kind female voice) he snapped and said he needed to switch out his battery. He did have his other battery with him, so I asked him if he found one (again in my oh so kind female voice) and he jumped down my throat and said (and if you would nasal up your mind when you read the next part) "Well you're the battery person aren't you?"

To make a long story short he had bought the battery years ago, we had changed manufacturers and no longer carried that size or make of battery. Also no warranty left on it cause it had been so long. After all said and done he was a jerk to me when I was oh so polite. As for the reason... just because you buy a membership, it does not give you the right to be a jerk. We are Costco-one of the only places you can return things!!!!!!!
I really do like my job-there are just things I don't like about it

Well that it all for today, maybe I'll go make use of my time before I head to work!!!
